DURCHLEUCHTET. Dialogue with the Collection
Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Exhibition View, 2004
Three years after opening, the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein will exhibit the scope of its collection as well as recent acquisitions and permanent loans in the exhibition "Durchleuchtet".
The exhibition includes works by Absalon, Jean Basquiat, Joseph Beuys, Arnold Böcklin, Imi Giese, Liam Gillick, Thomas Hirschhorn, Willem De Kooning, Gordon Matta-Clark, Ferdinand Nigg, Emil Nolde, Rita McBride, A.R. Penck, Peter Paul Rubens, Bill Viola and Andy Warhol.
The dialogic principle of the arrangement of the works - in which works of different stylistic directions move into a relationship with one another - stands in the foreground. Through the dialogue between opposites and proximities, exciting interspaces are created which enable one to delve into the layers and ranges of the works of art.
