Invited by the association "Schichtwechsel", Zimoun presents a new installation based on air pressure. The air pressure is used as an impulse to generate unpredictable forms in sound and motion.

The works of the Swiss artist Zimoun are based on organic-vividly seeming space installations and sound sculptures, mostly including mechanics, movement and physically generated sounds. In doing so, the artist is interested in common systems with complex performances. The mechanical components originate mostly from an industrial use and are treated and adopted as elements in his works.

For this piece, Zimoun is collaborating with Daniel Imboden / Dim-Tech (technical development). The exhibition of Zimoun is a project by the association "Schichtwechsel" which defines itself as an experimental platform fro new art and communication.

Sponsoring by J.P. Müller AG - Jun Air Compressors and Festo AG. The exhibition is kindly supported by Pro Helvetia - Swiss Arts Council, Hannes Zweifel Architecture, KulturStadtBern and Swisslos / Amt für Kultur des Kantons Bern.
