Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein has been cooperating with the Berlin-based Kienzle Collection for many years.

Whereas in the initial years it was works of artists associated with Arte Povera that came to the collection as permanent loans, the cooperation was intensified in 2016 by the addition of an extensive set of numerous other works of artists from Europe and the USA.

For the first time, the exhibition now presents the Kienzle Collection in its special themed structure that covers a broad field including painterly and conceptual positions expressed in all manner of media. Starting with Franz Erhard Walther, who features with works from all creative periods, the show includes paintings of Jonathan Lasker, Jack Goldstein, David Reed, Gary Stephan or Klaus Merkel along with more conceptual works by Anna Oppermann, Ketty La Rocca, Emilio Prini, Ferdinand Kriwet or Louise Fishman.
