Something special happens when school classes meet artworks: students view them, talk about them or get creative together – and this gives them a feeling of connecting with art in a way that is unexpected but deeply rewarding.
The art education team accompanies school classes from their first visit to carrying out a joint project. Whether it’s an active tour, a facilitated workshop or long-term research – we support teachers to take advantage of the museum as a living place of learning.
The exhibitions are not only ideal for art instruction, they also help build language skills (German, English, French). They are also the perfect entry point to explore history and everyday culture.

Good to know
Free travel to cultural facilities for schools
Since 2024, school classes from Liechtenstein, Vorarlberg and the canton of St. Gallen travel free on public transport to cultural venues. This offer is available to school classes twice per school year. It is valid for all primary and secondary schools.

Self-led visits
Admission to Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein is free for school classes and nursery groups. We look forward to your visit. Please register with reception by email (mail@kunstmuseum.li) or phone (+423 235 03 21). All school offerings are free in November – Children’s Rights Month.

Introductions to the current exhibitions
Our introduction sessions are designed for teachers of all key stages and are delivered in collaboration with the Liechtenstein education authority and PH Vorarlberg (University of Education). Please check the calendar for current dates.

Children’s Rights Weeks
Every November, Children’s Rights Month, all members of Kinderlobby Liechtenstein run special programmes. For four weeks, all school offerings at Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein (guided tours and workshops) are free.
